German fans have called for demonstrations outside of stadiums and in various cities across the country this weekend in protest of a German league association (DFL) paper, "Safe Stadium Experience," that threatens to reduce away fan support, ban away standing and enforce full body searches ahead of high-security games. The demonstrations will go ahead before Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 games this weekend.

Last week, fans protested the proposed measures through silent protests that lasted for 12-minutes and 12-seconds at the beginning of every game in both leagues.  These were widely recognized by media, league officials and politicians. "The first silent protests have sent out a clear signal," said a spokesman for the 12:12 movement, which was so named for fans claiming to be 'the 12th man' in their teams. "The DFL and politicians took notice of it."

In response to the first protests, the DFL amended the proposal slightly, but spokespeople for the campaign don’t think the alterations are good enough.
