Thierry Henry is expected to rejoin the Arsenal on loan in January, with the hope that he may be able to remain with the struggling club until the end of the season, according to reports. At the very least, the New York Red Bulls striker looks certain to head to North London on loan for six weeks during the MLS offseason, which begins next month.

Henry, who scored 226 goals in his time at Arsenal, was loaned out to his beloved club last year for six weeks. The Sun claims that this year the struggling club is hoping he can stay until May and help right the sinking ship. Arsenal is currently 10^th in the English Premier League with its lowest point tally since Arsene Wenger arrived as coach in 1996.

In order to complete with EPL season with Arsenal, Henry would have to miss around one third of the MLS season, which begins in March. As The Independent notes, any such deal is likely to be met with resistance by the New York Red Bulls, for whom Henry is an extremely important player, having scored 32 goals in 61 appearances.
