[DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY] De Anza Force forward Jason Romero scored the lone goal to give the Blue team a 1-0 win over the Red team in the Development Academy's U-17/18 select game at the Winter Showcase.

Romero, a second-half sub, broke the deadlock in the 71st minute on an assist from Pateadores' Kevin de la Torre.

Romero almost scored in the 58th minute when he dribbled around the goalkeeper and shot on goal but defender Brandon Aubrey was on the line to make the save and clear the ball from danger.

Both teams were loaded with U-18 national team players.
