Lionel Messi will one of the interviews on the first edition of "60 Minutes Sports,"
which debuts Jan. 8 on Showtime (10 p.m. ET/PT).
Bob Simon went to Spain to talk to Messi foe the new monthly magazine program from the makers of
the iconic CBS News series "60 Minutes."
Messi, who broke the record for goals in a calendar year, tells Simon more records should fall.
“I always want more," he said.
"Whether it's a goal or winning in a game I am never satisfied… I always push my limits. And I always try to get better every day."

MLS UNVEILS UPDATED ADIDAS PRIME. Major League Soccer unveiled the updated adidas
Prime, the official match ball for the 2013 MLS season. The adidas PRIME uses a cutting-edge panel bonding technique engineered to create a rounder, more aerodynamic and water resistant ball for
increased accuracy. The new match ball will debut at MLS First Kick, the opening of the 2013 season, according to Ernesto Bruce, MLS manager for adidas.

FA CUP FINAL ON
FOX. The FA Cup is about to make history with its first live appearance on U.S. broadcast television when Fox Sports airs a third-round match between Manchester United and West Ham United on
Jan. 5 at 12 p.m. ET. It will also air the final live for the first time on May 11 at 12 p.m. ET. Over the last two seasons, Fox Sports has aired a combination of nine live and delayed matches from
the English Premier League and UEFA Champions League, averaging 1.5 million viewers.
USL-NIKE PARTNERSHIP. Nike will take over as a sponsor of United
Soccer Leagues following the sale of its Umbro brand. Umbro had previously been the majority owner of USL. Nike recently completed its sale of Umbro to Iconix Brand Group for $225 million. “We
are very excited about this new partnership with Nike,” USL CEO Alec Papadakis said in a statement. “We’ve gone from a partnership with an
iconic soccer brand to a partnership with the world’s biggest sports and soccer brand, which is great news for everyone involved with USL."

SPORTS MEDIA DEAL. Rush Soccer, the largest soccer club in the world with more than 39,000 members in 26 states, has engaged soccer-specific marketing firm, 11Sports Media, to prospect the
jersey rights for their club following the announcement that Rush has partnered with adidas to be its official apparel partner. “The concept of jersey sponsorship is not new, but the marketing
platform that Rush Soccer offers is indeed unique,” said 11SM principal Eddie Salcedo in a statement.
