[AMERICANS ABROAD] Everton goalie Tim Howard made up for his role in a gift goal to Newcastle in the second minute with
several key saves late in the game to help the Toffees to a 2-1 win at Newcastle on Wednesday that moved them into fifth place in the English Premier League.
Howard was caught off his
line on Papiss Cisse's looping header that gave the Magpies the lead.
But he made up for that with a stop on Cisse on the goal line and a save on
Davide Santon's shot.
Leighton Baines and substitute Victor
Anichebe scored to beat struggling Newcastle.
