[SOCCER AMERICA PLAYER OF THE YEAR] Patrick Mullins, who led Maryland to the ACC championship and a berth in the Men's
College Cup, is the 2012 Soccer America Men's Player of the Year. The junior is the second Maryland player to win the award after 2005 winner Jason Garey, who
like him hails from Louisiana.
Mullins led the Terrapins with 17 goals and 10 assists, including a goal and two assists in the semifinal thriller against Georgetown at the Men's College Cup in Hoover, Ala.
Mullins was named ACC Offensive Player of the Year and MVP of the ACC Tournament. He is considered a top MLS prospect but has elected to return to the Terrapins for his senior season.
