[MLS TRANSACTIONS] The Colorado Rapids continued the process of rebuilding its attack with the acquisition of Kevin Harbottle, a 22-year-old Chilean winger from Universidad Catolica.

The Rapids, who discarded Omar Cummings and Conor Casey, the pair who led them to the 2010 MLS title, had acquired U.S. international Edson Buddle from the Los Angeles Galaxy last month.
“Kevin is a young, dynamic attacking player who will be a great fit for our squad this season,” said Rapids Technical Director Paul Bravo. “At just 22 years old, he’s already proven he can play at a high level, and we look forward to helping him develop further as he integrates into our team and our league.”
Harbottle has made one appearance for Chile's national team, entering as a substitute in a 2-0 friendly victory over Trinidad & Tobago in May 5 in his hometown of Iquique.
