[AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS] Defending champion Zambia exited the Africa Cup of Nations when it could only tie Burkina Faso, 0-0, and Nigeria beat Ethiopia, 2-0. The results gave Burkina Faso's Stallions the Group C title ahead of Nigeria on goal difference and left Zambia in third place with three ties in three games.

Two late penalties from former England youth international Victor Moses gave Nigeria the win it needed to overtake Zambia after it had also opened tournament play with two ties.
