[MLS 2013 COUNTDOWN] The trade hasn’t been made official yet, but more and more details are emerging surrounding the trade reported by SBI on Friday evening sending Dilly Duka to the Chicago Fire for Dominic Oduro.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported that the Crew also will throw in the rights to Robbie Rogers in the deal. Rogers recently parted ways with English club Leeds United, which he joined only last year. His departure from MLS as a free agent means that Columbus still owns his rights.

The 23-year-old Duka had two goals in 45 games for the Crew over three years. Columbus will be the fifth MLS team for the 28-year-old Oduro. The Ghanaian speedster has 33 goals in 183 MLS matches.

D.C. United 1 (Nane) Malmo FF 1 (Friberg).
Los Angeles 5 (Magee, Keane, Villarreal, Cochrane, McBean) U.S. U-17 national team 0.

Sporting KC 1 (Mechack) Portland 0.

Saturday, Feb. 2
Colorado 1 (Smith) San Jose 0.

Vancouver 2 (Mattocks, Hertzog) Houston 1 (Boswell).

LOS ANGELES. The Galaxy opened preseason action with a 5-0 win over the U.S. U-17 national team. Two homegrown players -- Jose Villarreal and Jack McBean -- scored for the Galaxy, while Gyasi Zardes, an offseason homegrown signing out of Cal State Bakersfield, looked good his debut. Paul Arriola, one of the top prospects in the Galaxy's academy program and a former U-17 player, also played.

MONTREAL. Raquettes, anyone? The Impact has been training at home for the first two weeks of preseason at the Complexe Marie-Victorin, but they took to the snow for a snowshoe race. Raquettes is a popular winter activity, and the Impact players were divided into teams of four for the six-kilometer race that featured seven challenges. The Impact will remain in Montreal until Thursday when it heads to Florida for the Disney Pro Soccer Classic.

PORTLAND. The Timbers and Scottish forward Kris Boyd came to a mutual agreement to terminate his contract. He was signed a year ago as a Designated Player and had seven goals last season. New coach Caleb Porter had said Boyd would not be part of his plans for 2013.

SPORTING KANSAS CITY. Soony Saad was taken to the hospital in an ambulance after going down in the second half of Sporting Kansas City's preseason game against Portland on Friday. He was treated for what the club said was a bruised tailbone, and he later tweeted that he was OK.
