[CAROLINA CHALLENGE CUP] The Chicago Fire U-18s and U-16s swept all three games to win the Charleston Challenge Cup at the preseason tournament of the same name
involving USL PRO's Battery and three MLS teams.
The Fire U-18s had already clinched their age group title when they beat host SC United Battery, 5-0. They had beaten CASL Chelsea, 1-0,
and the Richmond Kickers, 4-0.
The U-16s beat SC United Battery, 4-0, to complete a sweep in their age group. They also beat CASL Chelsea, 1-0, and the Richmond Kickers, 5-0. Indiana Fire
and NC Fusion also competed.
The Fire U-14s went 2-0-1 to win their pre-academy group.
