McClaren throws in towel at Twente

After coaching England in 2006-07, a tenure in which it failed to qualify for the 2008 European Championship, Steve McClaren bounced back in the Netherlands, guiding Twente to its first Dutch title, in 2010.

McClaren left Twente after the title win, but returned in 2012 after an unsuccessful stint with Wolfsburg as the first English Bundesliga coach.

His second Twente stint ended when he announced his resignation after four ties and two losses dropped Twente from first to fifth in the standings.

"The club is bigger than any one individual and Twente is too big in my heart to stand in the way of its progress," McClaren said.

    Good Luck in future endeavors McClaren and Twente...I would work for half his pay and could get at least a win..hahaha.
