[AWARDS] Delaney Sheehan, who scored her 201st varsity goal in Mandeville’s playoff win against Baton Rouge High
School in Louisiana regional play, and Keith Murphy, a sophomore goalkeeper at Servite High School in Anaheim, Calif., have been selected as the
NSCAA/TopDrawerSoccer.com High School Players of the Week.
Sheehan, a senior midfielder, finished the season with 56 goals (a new school record for goals scored in a single season) and 33
assists and 201 goals in her career. She has signed a letter of intent to play at Furman University in the fall.
Murphy, a sophomore goalkeeper, played a pivotal role in Servite’s
last two victories, a 1-0 victory over high-scoring El Toro and a 4-2 penalty shootout win in the quarterfinals of the playoffs.
Other female finalist included Sage Haferkamp from Cleburne High School (Cleburne, Texas). Other male finalist included Laurence Chamberlain from Midlothian High School
(Midlothian, Texas).
