[FC DALLAS] Homegrown sign Kellyn Acosta and Daniel Nevarez scored to give defending under-17/18 national champion FC Dallas a 2-1 win over the archrival Dallas Texans and move into a tie for first place with the Houston Dynamo in the Development Academy's Frontier Division with a game in hand.

Acosta, who signed a pro contract with FC Dallas after completing his stay at the U.S. under-17 residency program, scored his seventh goal of the season. Nevarez, who has scored twice for FC Dallas this season, previously spent time at Shattuck-Saint Mary's Soccer Academy and Colorado Rapids.

Alec Petit had the lone goal for the Texans.

FC Dallas holds a one-point lead with a game in hand on the Dynamo in the U-15/16 division after its 3-0 win over the Texans.

Jordan Cano, who has played with the U.S. U-17s, Antonio Aguilar and Sebastian Gordillo scored for FC Dallas.
