Toronto product makes MLS debut

[HOMEGROWN WATCH] Former Canada U-20 international Jonathan Osorio made his debut with Toronto FC as a late sub in its 2-1 win over Sporting Kansas City in Saturday's home opener. The Toronto-born midfielder is the club's eighth homegrown signing.

The 20-year-old Osorio impressed during the club's preseason camp in Florida and was signed to a first-team contract on the eve of the 2013 season.

He began training with the KIA Toronto FC Academy in September 2012.

Prior to training with TFC, Osorio played in the Canadian Soccer League last season with SC Toronto. He has also played for Club National de Uruguay.

He represented Canada at the 2011 CONCACAF U-20 Championship in Guatemala.
