[AWARDS] Virginia Tech-bound Bria Dixon, a senior forward at Cary (N.C.) High School, and Tyler Brazell, a junior midfielder at Brookland-Cayce (S.C.) High School, have been selected as the NSCAA/TopDrawerSoccer.com High School Players of the Week.
Dixon, a
senior forward, was crucial in Cary’s last three victories with a goal in a 2-0 victory over Fuquay-Varina, both goals in a 2-0 victory over Middle Creek and a goal and an assist in a 5-0 rout
of Garner.
Brazell tied Brookland-Cayce’s single-game assists record with five in a 10-0 trashing of county rival Batesburg-Leesville. Brazell also scored two goals in the season
opener. Last season the junior midfielder registered 18 points with five goals and eight assists.
