[HEXAGONAL COUNTDOWN] Houston Dynamo midfielder Brad Davis has been added to the U.S. national team roster for the World Cup qualifying matches against Costa Rica and Mexico. Davis, who dressed for but did not play in the Hexagonal opener at Honduras, is the 24th player in camp.

Coach Jurgen Klinsmann can dress 23 players -- including three keepers -- for a World Cup player. He took 24 players to Honduras and did not dress Matt Besler.

Davis joins Eddie Johnson, DaMarcus Beasley, Joe Corona and Brek Shea as options for Klinsmann on the left side of midfield.

Shea has only played briefly since his move to Stoke City and admitted after the first day of training on Monday his injured foot was still bothering him.

Really should have been Justin Gatt or maybe Juan Agudelo, Brad Davis is simply too slow out wide to be used as a wing, he is past thirty now and has NOT managed to do much when given the shot to do so, same as Wondolowski has been, an MLS all star and a NATS no show. ... (ICE)
