[AMERICANS ABROAD] Texans Uvaldo Luna and Alan Cortinas scored for second-place Tigres in its 3-3 tie with Chivas de Guadalajara in Mexico's Sub 20 Fuerzas Basicas League on Saturday.

Luna, who hails from Houston, plays for Mexico's U-20 national team. Cortinas joined Tigres from Brownsville Porter High School last summer.

Jaime Frias, who was born in Los Angeles and moved to Guadalajara in 2009, started for Chivas.

Former FC Dallas academy player Homero Montemayor started for Tigres' Sub 17 team in its 2-1 win over Chivas.

My question is why arent MLS teams holding on to these very good players by offering them something at least close to what Tigres would offer ?? I think this would be a better investment than bringing in the older players that at one point were top players but that have little left in the tank and that MLS teams and fans are always complaining about.

There is no bias in player selection. Players not good enough are cut because they are not good enough.

Again never said there was bias in player selection but it makes no sense to not sign players that better, higher paying leagues are. I really like your tone now, though.

"It is clear as day that selection is bias...."......."Lets not kid ourselves. There is an antiHispanic politically driven sentiment going on at the moment "
