[CONCACAF UNDER-17 CHAMPIONSHIP]The USA tries to qualify for the Under-17 World Cup for the 16th straight time when it plays Honduras on Sunday in the Concacaf U-17 Championship quarterfinals in Panama City. It has won all seven meetings against Honduras in Concacaf under-17 play in a series dating back to 1983.

The USA won its first two games at the 2013 tournament: 3-0 over Cuba and 1-0 over Guatemala.

Honduras is coming off a 2-0 loss to defending U-17 World Cup champion Mexico on Thursday. It took second place in Group D thanks to a 4-1 win over Cuba to open group play two days earlier.

Devron Garcia scored two goals in the first half while Brayan Velasquez and Rembrandt Floresadded insurance goals to eliminate Cuba from the competition.

The Catrachos' only previous appearances in the Under-17 World Cup came in 2007 and 2009.
