[NASL SCHEDULE: Week 4] After playing its first three games on the road, FC Edmonton finally opens at home on Saturday when it hosts San Antonio. The game comes three days after a controversial 3-2 loss to the Vancouver Whitecaps in the Amway Canadian Championship semifinals match at Commonwealth Stadium -- a game that turned on a late penalty and resulted in the ejection of Eddies coach Colin Miller. For a coach whose team is winless in four games overall, Miller was surprisingly positive.

“I think you can see, game by game, we’re getting better as a team,” he told the Edmonton Journal. “[Wednesday] was a really good performance from the team and I think it’s the standard of what we’re trying to achieve with this club. Everybody fights for each other. They battle and really stick together as a team and that’s paying off for us.”
