[TROFEO DELLE NAZIONI] The U.S. under-15 boys national team advanced to the semifinals of the Trofeo Della Nazioni with a 2-0 win over Slovenia Friday in Italy thanks to goals by recent Fiorentina signing Joshua Perez and Christian Pulisic. The Americans will face Croatia on Saturday across the border in the Austrian town of Kotschach.

The USA needed to beat Slovenia to win Group A and advance to the semifinals. The victory came a day after the Americans tied Chile, 1-1, thanks to a last-second goal from Alejandro Zendejas.

Croatia swept all three games to win Group B.

The other semifinal on Saturday will pit Japan, the Group C winner, against Mexico, the Group C runner-up.
