[AMERICANS ABROAD] Emerson Hyndman, grandson of FC Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman, won the inaugural Barclays Under-18 Premier League title as Fulham beat Reading, 3-1, in the final at Craven Cottage.

Hyndman started and created several excellent chances for himself and teammates. He turned 17 in April and was rewarded for his play this season with his first professional contract.

The star of the game was Moussa Dembele. Moussa Dembele is the name of the Belgian international that moved from Fulham to Tottenham this season. This Moussa Dembele is a 16-year-old Frenchman who arrived from formerly with Paris St. Germain won the final with two goals in the first half hour and the insurance goal in the 89th minute.

Hyndman arrived from Dallas in 2011.

"I had quite a few trials," he told FulhamFC.com recently, "and got a feel for how a lot of different clubs worked. For me, Fulham had everything that I wanted. There’s a great focus on bringing young players through and the chance is there for them -- I wanted to be part of that. I also spent time at Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle United, plus a period in Portugal with Sporting Lisbon and in Spain with Real Mallorca and Villarreal. But Fulham was the club for me and, so far, it’s proved the right decision."
