[NASL REWIND: Week 8] Midfielder Danny Barrera broke a scoreless draw in the 85th minute goal to give the Atlanta Silverbacks a 1-0 win over the San Antonio Silverbacks that moved them into first place in the NASL standings. Minnesota United avenged a 3-2 loss at home to the Tampa Bay Rowdies last week in their 2012 Soccer Bowl rematch with a win by the same score at Al Lang Stadium in a match that saw all five goals scored in the first 29 minutes.

Substitute forward Kellen Gulley fired a shot off a Scorpions defender, and the ball fell right to Barrera, who beat keeper Pat Hannigan to give Atlanta the win in front of 4,422 home fans. It's the first time the Silverbacks have been in the first place.

"To get a win from that game is fantastic, "said Silverbacks coach Brian Haynes. "It's the kind of game that can get bad if you make a defensive mistake and we got the win and I'm proud and happy for them.  Good teams win ugly games and we just did that tonight."

"What a great series," said United coach Manny Lagos. "To have ten goals in two games, it was great and obviously we're delighted that tonight we came out on top. It was really important for us to come out and play hard and play strong. Both teams battled and I was really proud of the guys to see the game out."
