[USA-HONDURAS] U.S. national team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann recalled Real Salt Lake captain Kyle Beckerman to the team that is training in Salt Lake for Tuesday's World Cup 2014 qualifier against Honduras at Rio Tinto Stadium.

Beckerman started five of Klinsmann's first seven games in 2011, played five more games in 2012, including the 1-0 win at Mexico, but has its two appearances in 2013.

He served as team captain in the 0-0 draw against Canada in Houston and came on in stoppage time in the 1-0 win over Costa Rica for his lone appearance in the Hexagonal.

Beckerman's addition gives Klinsmann 23 players in camp. That includes Jermaine Jones, who did not dress against Panama after suffering a concussion in the Jamaica game.

Beckerman is expected to be one of the veterans Klinsmann will build his Gold Cup team around.

U.S. Roster:
GOALKEEPERS (3): Brad Guzan (Aston Villa), Tim Howard (Everton), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake).
DEFENDERS (7): Matt Besler (Sporting KC), Geoff Cameron (Stoke City), Edgar Castillo (Tijuana), Omar Gonzalez (LA Galaxy), Clarence Goodson (Brondby), Fabian Johnson (Hoffenheim), Michael Parkhurst (Augsburg).
MIDFIELDERS (9): Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake), Michael Bradley (Roma), Joe Corona (Tijuana), Brad Davis (Houston Dynamo), Brad Evans (Seattle Sounders), Stuart Holden (Bolton Wanderers), Jermaine Jones (Schalke 04), Sacha Kljestan (Anderlecht), Graham Zusi (Sporting KC).
FORWARDS (4): Jozy Altidore (AZ), Terrence Boyd (Rapid Vienna), Clint Dempsey (Tottenham), Eddie Johnson (Seattle Sounders).

JK to build the team around Beckerman? At the international level, there is not one individual to build a team around. Players at that level are highly technical and efficient, and if the chemistry is there, success is probable.

Beckerman? The team is functioning around Bradley in the middle, what needs to be added is subtlety and creativity on the ball, which is why Donovan should be in camp, unless Holden makes it all the way back, he's all we got.
