Harrisburg takes sole position of second

[USL PRO REWIND: Week 13] The Harrisburg City Islanders took sole position of second place in USL PRO with a 3-1 win over Antigua Barracuda FC. The Dayton Dutch Lions earned a 2-1 victory over VSI Tampa Bay FC, extending their undefeated streak in league play to six games. The Charleston Battery moved into a tie for third place with a 1-1 draw with the Rochester Rhinos.

The Islanders got goals from Morgan Langley, Sainey Touray and Yann Ekra. Touray's goal was his seventh of the season, moving him to third in the league in scoring. Barracuda FC dropped to 0-13-0 with the loss.

-- The Dayton Dutch Lions earned a 2-1 victory over VSI Tampa Bay FC on goals by Remco Klaasse and Tjeerd Westdijk to move into seventh place, extending their undefeated streak in league play to six games.

-- The Charleston Battery moved into a tie for third place with a 1-1 draw with the Rochester Rhinos at Sahlen's Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Midfielder Lance Rozeboom scored off a corner kick to put Rochester ahead in the first half, but center back Shawn Ferguson had the equalizer in the second half.

Daniel Steres' goal gave the Wilmington Hammerheads a 1-0 win over the New York Red Bulls Reserves, and Chris Cortez's goal in stoppage time gave the Los Angeles Blues a 1-1 tie with the LA Galaxy Reserves as USL PRO teams improved to 6-3-5 in interleague play with MLS reserve teams.

Brian Ownby, on loan from FC Dallas, scored a pair of second-half goals and Nate Robinson had a goal and an assist to lead the unbeaten Richmond Kickers to a 4-0 win over hapless Antigua Barracuda FC that moved them into a tie for second place with the Harrisburg City Islanders. The loss dropped Barracuda FC to 0-12-0.

-- The Charlotte Eagles got two second-half goals from Christian Ramirez and Ben Newnam to earn a 2-1 comeback victory over the visiting Chicago Fire Reserves at the Queens Sports Complex.

-- Scotsman Tam McManus and Blake Brettschneider both tallied a goal and an assist as the Rochester Rhinos earned a 3-0 victory over VSI Tampa Bay FC for just their second win in 13 games.
