[NWSL SCHEDULE: Day 12] Sky Blue FC can take the lead in the NWSL with a win or tie against visiting FC Kansas City as it begins the second half of the season Wednesday at Yurcak Field.

Led by goalie Brittany Cameron, the NWSL Player of the Month for May, and the backline of Christie Rampone, Coco Goodson, Kendall Johnson and Caitlin Foord, Sky Blue FC has the second-best defense in the NWSL, but it will be tested by FC Kansas City, winner in three of its last four games.
KCFC midfielder Lauren Cheney returned from international duty with a bang, scoring both goals in a 2-0 victory over the Washington Spirit over the weekend.

-- After being off last week, the Boston Breakers return to action with four games in 11 days and hope to end their four-game winless streak, but that's not as bad as Wednesday's opponent, Seattle Reign FC, which has yet to win in 12 matches.

How bad has Reign FC been? Its halftime lead against the Western New York Flash was its first of the season.
