[GOLD CUP: Group C] Needing a four-goal win to overtake Martinique for the second third-place berth in the quarterfinals of the Gold Cup, Cuba beat Belize, 4-0, to complete the quarterfinal field. Cuba got a hat trick from Ariel Martinez with goals in the 38th, 63rd and 84th minutes and Jeniel Molina's goal in stoppage time to end a string of 13 games without a defeat.

Molina slotted home a shot from close range after Liban Perez -- in an offside position -- headed a cross back into the middle in the 93rd minute.

The 4-0 win allowed Cuba to eat away at most of its minus-six goal margin and finish with a 5-7 goal margin and beat out Martinique, whose goal margin was 2-4, on total goals.

The result sent Cuba into the quarterfinals for only the second time in seven appearances. It will play Panama in Atlanta on Saturday.
