Andrews named Gatorade Female High School Athlete of the Year

[AWARDS] Notre Dame-bound Morgan Andrews, who starred at Milford (N.H.) High School, was named the 2013 Gatorade Female High School Athlete of the Year for all sports.

Andrews, winner of the national soccer award two years in a row, captained of the U.S. under-17 women's national team at the 2012 Under-17 World Cup and was an all-state placekicker for her school's football team.

She scored a Division II-best 31 goals and added 18 assists in leading Milford to the program's first state title as a senior. The 2012 NSCAA High School Player of the Year, the Notre Dame signee concluded her prep soccer career with 114 goals and 53 assists.

She is now a member of the U.S. under-20 women's national team.
