[EURO 2013] France bounced 2009 European women's runner-up England from Euro 2013 with a 3-0 win Thursday in front of a sellout crowd of 7,332 in Linkoping. Spain played to a 1-1 tie with Russia to secure second place, while the Russians were eliminated when they lost out to Denmark in a drawing of lots for the second third-place team to go through (UEFA does not use goal difference as a tiebreaker in the tournament).

Eugenie Le Sommer
, Louisa Necib and Wendie Renard scored for the Bleues, who are the only team to finish the group stage with a perfect record. Going back to qualifying, they have won 11 in a row.

Making six changes from the team that beat Spain to qualify for the quarterfinals, France showed off its depth.

"It's not easy for the players when you're already qualified," said Coach Bruno Bini. "It's similar to when you play the league and there's a Champions League game coming. You're scared of getting injured. However, the girls didn't play with the brakes on. What a nice squad we have."

Iceland claimed one of the third-place spots with four points, while Denmark and Russia were tied with two points.

-- Organizers increased the capacity of Sweden's Friends Arena from 30,000 to 40,000 for the July 28 final. They have already sold more 35,000 tickets.
