[DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY: U-17/18s] Shattuck-Saint Mary’s, a Minnesota day and boarding school, made a name for itself as an ice hockey school and then branched out into soccer, producing the likes of U.S. international Teal Bunbury.

Note:The U-17/18 championship game kicks off at 9:30 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on broadcast live on ussoccer.com.

Its U-17/18 team won the Central Conference's Mid-America Division by a margin of 12 points with a record of 23-7-2. Its only loss in its last 14 games was a 2-1 defeat to Solar Chelsea that was not enough to prevent it from winning its playoff group.

A 2-2 tie with De Anza Force Thursday was enough to send Shattuck-St. Mary's U-17/18s into the final on goal difference against the New York Red Bulls.

HEAD COACH.
Tim Carter is the director of boys soccer and head coach of the U-18 boys at Shattuck-St. Mary's. He was the men's head coach at Illinois State and coached the Minnesota Thunder and Pittsburgh Riverhounds. He also served as the director of youth development for U.S. Soccer.

TOP PLAYERS.
The attack is led by a pair of Floridians, N.C. State recruit Michael Bazja, who leads the team with 17 goals, and Ricardo Lopez-Espin, who has scored four goals in the playoffs. Cameroonian Lesley Nchanji, only 16, has 13 goals. Defender Andrew Kendall-Moullin, who hails from Atlanta and will play for SIU-Edwardsville, and Bajza were named to the U-17/18 Central Conference Starting XI. Canadian keeper Joseph Melong is headed to Furman. Other starters include U.S. futsal national team star Lucas Stauffer, Latvian U-19 defender Valdis Upmalis and Francisco Narbon, who represented Panama at the 2011 Under-17 World Cup.
