[DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY: U-17/18s] The New York Red Bulls won the 2012 U-15/16 U.S. Soccer Development Academy title, and a nucleus of players return on the U-17/18 team that finished first in the Eastern Conference's Northeast Division with a record of 22-1-7, the best of any team in the U-17/18 age group and has moved into the final against the Shattuck-St. Mary's Soccer Academy Saturday at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston.

Note: The U-17/18 championship game kicks off at 9:30 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on broadcast live on ussoccer.com.

The Red Bulls have been playing at Finals Week without several members of the team who have already turned pro. Amando Moreno signed with the Red Bulls this winter and has already made his MLS debut. Matt Miazga, a U-17/18 East Conference Starting XI pick, signed a homegrown contract after finishing high school and has suited up for MLS action. Bosnian youth international Izzy Tandir, a 6-foot-5 forward, signed with French club Sochaux.

HEAD COACH.
Paul O'Donnell, a three-time All-Ivy selection at Columbia, has been a Red Bulls academy coach since 2002.

Georgetown-bound Alex Muyl, one of the stars of the 2012 U-15/16 championship team, was a U-17/18 East Conference Starting XI pick and leads with Red Bulls with 19 goals, four during Finals Week. Chris Lema represented the USA in Concacaf under-17 qualifying, while Evans Saint Jean and Jhon Estama played for Haiti in Concacaf under-20 qualifying and Kerlins Georges represented Haiti at the 2011 Concacaf U-17 tournament and missed out on the 2013 U-20 tournament because he was hurt.
