Ocean City, Thunder Bay and Victoria advance
[PDL: Playoffs] The Ocean City Nor'easters and a pair of Canadian teams, Thunder Bay Chill and Victoria Highlanders FC, joined the Austin Aztex in the semifinals
in the PDL playoffs with wins on Sunday.
First-half goals from Dwayne Reid, Frank Tweneboa and Carl Haworth gave the Ocean City Nor'easters enough of a cushion to beat the Ottawa Fury, 3-1, on the Jersey Shore.
Thunder Bay got goals from Sergio Campano Franco, Paul Dillon and Sunny Omoregie to beat Forest City London, 3-0,
and return to the its fourth PDL final four in the past six seasons,
Brett Levis scored in the 16th minute and Victoria held on to eliminate the
Portland Timbers U-23s, 1-0, in Oxnard, Calif.
