[MLS PREVIEW: Week 25] The two-time defending MLS champion LA Galaxy, currently tied for fifth place in the Western Conference, faces a big test Saturday as it hosts current Supporters' Shield leader Real Salt Lake. A win would cut the deficit with RSL to four points with a game in hand.

Second- and third-place teams in both conferences square off on Saturday as New York hosts Philadelphia and Colorado welcomes Vancouver at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

In the weekend's only interconference match, Clint Dempsey returns to his home state of Texas for the Seattle Sounders' match at Houston.

The only idle team this weekend is Chivas USA, which will have time to address the recent slew of red cards. The club said in a statement that it was considering disciplinary action against the players for the five red cards in five games.
