U.S. U-14 boys tested by older Galaxy, Tijuana

[NTC CAMP] The squad of 31 players brought in by Coach Hugo Perez for the U.S. under-14 boys national team's training camp Aug. 17-25 in Carson, Calif., finished with losses to the LA Galaxy U-15/16 Academy team and Club Tijuana’s U-16 Academy on Sunday.

The U-14 squad was split for the two back-to-back games. Justin Rennicks scored the lone U.S. goal in an 8-1 loss to the Galaxy. The U-14s' strike in a 2-1 loss to Club Tijuana came on an own goal.

In what was the third training camp of the year for the 1999 age group, the U.S. U-14s fell, 2-0, to U-15/16 Pateadores  Academy and beat U-15/16 Arsenal FC Academy, 8-0.

U15/16 LA Galaxy 8 U.S. U-14s 1. U.S. goal: Rennicks 25.
