[MLS SCHEDULE: Week 28] MLS is playing right through the September FIFA fixture dates with 11 games scheduled this week -- two on Wednesday and nine on the weekend.

Without Clint Dempsey and Eddie Johnson as well as the injured Brad Evans, the Seattle Sounders will look to tie the second-place LA Galaxy on points in the Western Conference with a win over Chivas USA on Wednesday.

In his first game as interim coach, Brian Bliss will lead the Columbus Crew at home against the Houston Dynamo. The win over the Dynamo is essential if the Crew wants to keep its slim playoff hopes alive.
