[VANCOUVER WHITECAPS RESIDENCY]The Vancouver Whitecaps sent their under-17/18 and under-15/16 residency teams to Northern California for three games in four days and they both swept all three games by a combined 20-2 margin.

The U-17/18s defeated San Juan SC (3-1), Cal Odyssey (3-0) and San Jose Earthquakes (2-1). The U-15/16s beat San Juan SC (3-0), Cal Odyssey (5-0) and Earthquakes (4-0).

Marco Bustos, Matthew Chow and Kianz Froese had two goals apiece for the U-17/18s. Aymar Sigue of the U-15/16s led all players with five goals.

The U-17/18s included Sam Adekugbe, who recently signed a homegrown contract with the MLS club, and Jackson Farmer. Both players traveled with Canada's senior national team to Spain, where it played a pair of international friendlies against Mauritania. Farmer, who moved from Edmonton Juventus in 2011, earned his first cap on the trip.

The residency program features players from all across Canada.
