[ECNL] The first of five Elite Clubs National League under-14 showcase events will be held this weekend at 60 Acre Park in Redmond, Wash. All U-14 teams in the Northwest Conference and 10 of the 12 SoCal Conference teams will take part.

The only SoCal Conference teams not attending will be the two Arizona teams, SC del Sol and Sereno.

The next event will be Oct. 5-6 in Carmel, Ind. Events will also be held May 3-4 in Greer, S.C., and Kansas City. An optional event will be held April 12-14 in conjunction with the National Event for under-15 to under-18 teams in San Diego.

This event is missing out on a top U14 player named Alondra Arreola from Chicago, Il. Her brother is Luis Arreola, who recently was at Alianza Nationals and attracted attention from 10 Top Mexican Pro Team Directors and the USSF. She is well known along with her brother in the soccer comunity but does not have the funds to play for Sockers or Eclipse that are $5,000-$10,000 a year with tournaments and showcases like this included. What a shame.
