[AMERICANS ABROAD] Aron Johannsson continued his hot streak for AZ with a spectacular winner on a looping shot from distance in its 2-1 win over Eredivisie leader PSV on Saturday. The goal was his 10th for AZ in all competitions.

-- Chukwudi Chijindu had the winning goal for Thor in its 2-1 win over IBV on the final day of the Icelandic season. The former Chivas USA forward, who finished with 10 goals in 17 league games, was then sent off in the 90th minute.

-- Former Chicago Fire midfielder Mike Banner had an eventful half-hour appearance for FF Jaro in Finland, coming off the bench to score two goals before getting sent off in its 5-2 loss at Lahti.

-- In England, Brad Guzan's long punt set up the winning goal as Aston Villa stunned Manchester City, 3-2, to move into a tie for eighth place in the Premier League.
