Kljestan's Anderlecht loses again
[AMERICANS ABROAD] With Jermaine Jones again suspended, Sacha Kljestan was the only
American to play in the UEFA Champions League. He drew for Anderlecht a penalty midway through the first half, but the Belgian champions couldn't convert and went down to a 3-0 defeat at home to Greek
champion Olympiakos, leaving them with two losses in two games.
Kljestan was manhandled in the penalty area in the 24th minute, but keeper Roberto
stopped Aleksandar Mitrovic to keep Olympiakos ahead 1-0.
Kostas Mitroglou had a hat trick for Olympiakos,
which earned its first three points of the Champions League.
Anderlecht is last in Group C and without a goal in two games heading into its series of back-to-back games with first-place
Paris St. Germain.
