[AMERICANS ABROAD] Jordan Seabrook scored his seventh goal of the Finnish Veikkausliiga season for third-place VPS in its 1-1 tie at MYPA. The Norwegian title hopes of Mix Diskerud's Rosenborg took a dent as it had to settle for a 0-0 tie at home with Honefoss. The draw left Rosenborg tied for first with Stromsgodset, which leads on goal difference with four games to play. Steve Clark got the shutout for Honefoss, which moved out of the cellar with the point.

Americans who played abroad in winning efforts on Sunday were Conor O'Brien (OB), Tyler Ruthven (KuPS), Tony Taylor (Omonia) and Alfredo Morales (FC Ingolstadt).

The only American to play in a winning effort on Saturday were Tim Ream, who went the distance in Bolton Wanderers' 2-1 win at Birmingham City -- its first win in 11 games -- and Zak Whitbread, who started for Derby County, which won its first game under new manager Steve McClaren, a 3-1 victory over Leeds United.
