Ties for Johannsson's AZ and Boyd's Rapid

[AMERICANS ABROAD] Aron Johannsson and Terrence Boyd both went the distance for AZ and Rapid Vienna, respectively, as they played to 1-1 ties in the Europa League on Thursday.

AZ played to a 1-1 tie at Kazakhstan's Shakhter Karagandy, while Rapid was held to a 1-1 tie at Genk.

AZ is in second place in Group L behind PAOK, while Rapid is last in Group G, two points out of second place after three games.

The top two teams from the 12 Europa League groups advance to the round of 32 along with the third-place teams from the eight Champions League groups.
