[OFF THE POST]Bertie Bee, the mascot of English League Championship leader, was sent off early in the Clarets' 2-0 win over second-place QPR after he offered a pair of glasses to one of the referee's assistant.

The incident took place in the second half of Saturday's match -- the first in which American Oguchi Onyewu suited up for QPR -- and Bertie Bee was led off the field by security after getting his marching orders from referee Simon Hooper.

He was seen in holding pen in Turf Moor.
