[U.S. YOUTH SOCCER WORKSHOP] Portuguese-American coach Dan Gaspar, who is the assistant coach of Iran's World Cup team, will be one of the speakers at the 2014 U.S. Youth Soccer Workshop, held in conjunction with the NSCAA Convention, which will take place Jan. 15-19, 2014, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

Gaspar will speak on Iran’s road to the World Cup 2014 and how goalkeepers dominate ball possession.

Workshop education sessions and field demonstrations will allow coaches, administrators and all other attendees to learn from some of the nation’s most prominent soccer clinicians. The schedule of presentations features a variety of topics, ranging from U.S. Youth Soccer programs to training advice to marketing and accounting lessons.

Other speakers will include Peter Mellor, the USL national technical director, and Chris Snyder, the U.S. Olympic Committee's director of coaching education.
