thought despite going down a goal early we had a good performance today,” said UVa coach Steve Swanson. “I thought the players we had come off the
bench today made a difference. They came in with fresh legs and gave us big contributions, both in the first and second half. Overall, we are happy to be moving on."
-- Jazmine Reeves’ golden goal with 73 seconds remaining in the second extra period gave Virginia Tech the win over Notre Dame, ending the Irish's first ACC
campaign. Notre Dame played the final 33-plus minutes one player down after senior Elizabeth Tucker received her second yellow card of the match.
-- A pair of second-half goals just a minute and 30 seconds apart from Isabella Schmid and Kristin Grubka was all
that was needed as Florida State defeated Duke, 2-0.
-- Crystal Dunn’s goal on a header in the 40th minute lifted North Carolina to a 1-0
victory over Boston College at Fetzer Field. Carolina improved to 59-2-4 in tournament play with the victory.
