Bradley's DeRose picks up 200th win

[COLLEGE MEN: Milestone]Bradley head coach Jim DeRose won his 200th career victory as the Braves beat Eastern Illinois, 1-0, on the road in their final non-conference game of the season.

Bradley scored the game’s only goal in the 61st minute when Cody Lofgren collected a cross from Wojciech Wojcik on the left side of the six-yard box and beat Panthers goalkeeper Garrett Creasorfor his first goal as a Brave. The assist is the 10th of the season for Wojcik, equaling the fifth-best single-season total in Bradley history, and his 18th career assist, breaking a tie with former U.S. international Bryan Namoff for fifth-most in Bradley history.

DeRose, 46, came to Bradley in 1996 as the youngest head coach in NCAA Division I college soccer. He now boasts a 200-135-39 career record in 18 seasons. In 2007, He led the Braves to the NCAA Division I quarterfinals and was named Soccer America Men's Coach of the Year.
