[VERONA CAMP] U.S. under-20 national team coach Tab Ramos has called up 22 players -- the majority of them pros in MLS or Europe -- for a camp that begins Sunday in Verona, Italy. The U.S. will play against Hellas Verona Primavera, Iran's U-20 national team and a yet-to-be-confirmed opponent.

"This is purely a camp where we can get a better idea of where our players are," Ramos told ussoccer.com. "They are all players who are getting great experiences, and this particular camp gives us a good chance to see them in an international camp, playing in an international environment, which will give us a good idea of what these players can do."

Four of the MLS players have made their first-team debuts: Kellyn Acosta (FC Dallas), Marco Delgado (Chivas USA), Matthew Miazga (New York Red Bulls), and Amando Moreno (New York Red Bulls).

The European contigent has four players each from England and Germany, two from Noreay and one from France. Of the European players, one has made his first-team debut: forward Ben Spencer of reigning Norwegian champion Molde.

U.S. Roster:
GOALKEEPERS (2) : Santiago Castano (New York Red Bulls), Ethan Horvath (Molde)
DEFENDERS (6): Kellyn Acosta (FC Dallas), Conor Donovan (Capital Area RailHawks Academy), Matias Fracchia (NJSA 04), Matthew Miazga (New York Red Bulls), Shaquell Moore (IMG Academy), John Requejo Jr. (Real So Cal).
MIDFIELDERS (8): Russell Canouse (Hoffenheim), Marco Delgado (Chivas USA), Junior Flores (Borussia Dortmund), Romain Gall (Lorient), Lynden Gooch (Sunderland), Emerson Hyndman (Fulham), Kristian Scott (Swansea City), Omar Thompson (Wigan).
FORWARDS (6): Kainoa Bailey (Bayer Leverkusen), Benji Lopez (Real Salt Lake), Amando Moreno (New York Red Bulls), Zach Pfeffer (Hoffenheim), Rubio Rubin (Unattached), Ben Spencer (Molde).
