[NJCAA: Division I] Iowa Western won the NJCAA Division I men's championship with a 3-1 shootout win over host Tyler after their final ended 1-1. Iowa Western also captured the women's final with a 3-1 win Navarro. The titles were the first for both programs.

Tyler led on a goal by Atsou Ayah, but tournament MVP Falzo Alihodzic equalized with 26 minutes left in regulation. The Apaches played the final 14 minutes of regulation, as well as two overtime periods, with an extra man as Iowa Western's Matthieu Braem was issued his second yellow card.

Iowa Western goalkeeper Will Lukowski stopped three Tyler penalty kick attempts to win the shootout.

Freshmen Celia Jimenez, Brianne Richards and Nicole Gowans scored for the Iowa Western women in their 3-1 win over Navarro.
