Can anyone provide a logical explanation how UCLA,the #2 ranked team, gets seeded 2nd in the NCAA west regional and ends up playing the west region final in North Carolina? Yes, their only loss came at the hands of North Carolina, but in North Carolina early in the season. Talk about stacking the deck and trying to create a self fulfilling prophecy for the ACC! The selection committee's bias is inexcusable.

UNC deemed #4 among ACC schools ... UNC beat UCLA head-to-head ... logic is quite clear ... you must acknowledge strength of ACC if examining this NCAA tournament ... 6 of 8 remaining schools is amazing & achieved on the field, not on paper ... best of luck to your Bruins

Yes, UNC won 1-0 at home early in the season. So why wasn't Virgina Tech put in the West Region? It is still absurd that an overall #2 ranking only gets a 2nd seed regional ranking and, as a consequence, the strongest team in the west plays a the West Regional final in North Carolina! While it is highly probable that some ACC school will win the College Cup, the seeding sure helps move all the ACC schools along.
