[MEN'S SOCCER] A late goal from Ian Lange off a patented long throw-in by Michael Harris gave No. 2 seed Washington a 1-0 win over Pac-12 rival Stanford that moved it into the quarterfinals for the first time. Michigan State moved into the final eight for the first time since it shared the national title in 1968 with a 1-0 at No. 6 seed Georgetown. No. 3 seed Notre Dame will be making its third quarterfinal appearance thanks to a 4-2 win over Wake Forest. The Irish fell in the quarterfinal round of the 2006 and 2007 tournaments.
