[NIKE INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLIES] U.S. under-17 men’s national team head coach Richie Williams named a 20-player roster to face Brazil, England and Portugal during the 2013 Nike International Friendlies that will take place at Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, Fla., beginning Monday.

The USA opens against Portugal on Monday, and will then play games against England Wednesday and Brazil Friday.

Most players are in the U-17 residency program, but the U.S. squad includes two players based abroad: Luca de la Torre (Fulham) and Joe Gallardo (Monterrey).

Why is Joshua Perez unattached to a club. I have followed him for a couple of years now. Is ranked number one on TDS for his age group and he went overseas several time to trial with several different clubs. How could somebody with all that opportunity rolled out before him not be attached to a club? But still be on the National team? Where is he getting time on the ball?

Hey BJ,your question should also apply to two other players, Daniel Barbir and Edwin Lara. Maybe they're continuing to hone their ball handling/playing skills on adult or "senior" teams? Be nice to know!!!
