As expected, Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Bayern Munich’s Franck Ribery have been named toFIFA’s three-man shortlist for the 2013 Ballon d’Or. Ronaldo and Ribery are the frontrunners for FIFA’s top individual prize, while Messi, winner from 2009-12, is expected to bethird after suffering so many injuries.
